About Me

Lexia Ortiz-Melo is a photographer based in Somerville, MA. She received her BFA with a concentration in Photography/Video at Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA in 2017. She has taken various classes at the college including studio lighting, digital, and film processing. She has participated in exhibits including the juried Open House Exhibition and Second Floor Gallery at Montserrat College of Art, and the Vision Space Gallery in Lynn, MA. She has also completed an internship with artist in residence Anna Schuleit Haber documenting a permanent installation in Beverly, MA. In 2016 she received the Open House Photography Merit Award at Montserrat College of Art.
